To prolong the lifespan of your Windshield Skin™ protection film, it is advisable to refrain from getting a car wash within the next 72 hours. Regularly removing substances like tree sap, bird droppings, salt spray, insects, tar, oils, and similar residues is crucial for maintaining the film’s durability.
Avoid Damaging Windshield Skin™
To prevent any damage to the windshield material, it is important to follow these guidelines:
1. Keep sharp objects and direct high-pressure water away from the windshield material by maintaining a minimum distance of 3ft [1m].
2. Refrain from using hard brushes or harsh chemicals, as they can potentially cause harm.
Cleaning Materials
To ensure the safety of the film and prevent any scratches, it is advised to employ the following methods:
1. Utilize a clean microfiber cloth, sponge, or a soft brush when cleaning the film. These materials are gentle and less likely to cause scratches.
2. When selecting a cleaning solution, it is recommended to use an Ammonia-Free glass cleaner. Alternatively, you can create a mixture of mild soap and water, which is also suitable for cleaning the film.
